The following briefly describes the basic properties of commonly used materials.

Stainless steel

SUS301

  • Excellent cold workability, the more it is processed, the harder it becomes
  • Corrosion resistance is slightly lower than SUS304
  • It becomes magnetic after cold working
  • High strength and good elasticity, suitable for shrapnel, springs, etc.


SUS304

  • The most common stainless steel, good corrosion resistance, good heat resistance, excellent processing and weldability
  • Characteristics: Non-magnetic, occasionally becomes weakly magnetic after processing when the impurity content is high
  • Commonly used in: tableware, kitchen utensils, sinks, building materials, medical equipment


SUS316

  • Medical grade stainless steel is the second most widely used type of steel. It has better formability and weldability due to the addition of the aerospace-related metal element "molybdenum".
  • Higher stability and corrosion resistance
  • Features: Contains molybdenum, more corrosion-resistant and resistant to chloride corrosion


SUS430

  • Ferritic stainless steel, magnetic
  • Contains about 16–18% chromium, no nickel, and low cost
  • Medium corrosion resistance, good heat resistance
  • Commonly used in: home appliance housings, kitchen equipment, building panels, automotive decorative parts
